Mortal Kombat 1, All confirmed Kameo Fighters
In the Mortal Kombat 1 FAQ, it is mentioned that this game features brand-new gameplay mechanics. One of these being Kameo Fighters. Kameo Fighters is a new roster of characters which players can call upon to help them with combos, etc.
The feature is similar in theory to other games such as Marvel Vs Capcom and Skullgirls that allowed teams to be formed, with players calling on teammates to assist them during a fight. Mortal Kombat 1 doesn’t appear to have the tag system of MvC or other games. The Kameo Fighter feature is more similar to the assist mechanics seen in Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm and anime. These games have unique partner characters that can be summoned during battle.
This is the confirmed list of Kameo Fighters:
Ferra (coming after launch as part of Kombat Pass 1).
Johnny Cage (coming after launch as part of Kombat Pass 1).
Khameleon – (Coming post-launch, as part of Kombat Pass 1).
Mavado: (will be available after launch as part of the Kombat Pass 1)
– Sonya Blade
– Tremor (coming after launch as part of Kombat Pass 1).
Mortal Kombat 1: Who to Expect
Mortal Kombat 1 is a reimagined Mortal Kombat, so the character roster will be relatively safe. It’s better to offer reimagined characters than to try to bring back Meat or Mokap. We can expect to see characters such as Kano, Sonya Blade, and Jax.
The most recent trilogy has introduced some new characters that are firm favorites amongst the community. These include D’Vorah, Kotal Kahn, and others. We could possibly see these characters return to Mortal Kombat 1 combining the legacy kombatants from MK X with new blood.
Mortal Kombat 1 will be released on the 19th of September for PC, Xbox Series X & S, PS5, and Nintendo Switch.
